As of yesterday we have been in Sydney for two weeks and it is starting to feel less like a holiday now and more like normal life. We have still been trying to get out and explore as much as possible but looking for jobs, nesting and the daily grind has begun to take over. Not that I really mind - it's nice to start easing back into a routine after that extra long holiday season.

My week in pictures
It's certainly been a busy week! I have been feeling so sentimental lately as I find myself doing favourite things for the last time in Perth - seeing friends, visiting loved cafes and learning to let go of possessions like my car. Sob. But it's ok because I am so excited about our move now and a shiny big new thing I am planning which I hope to release mid-year. It can be hard leaving things behind but it's so important to always be moving forward, don't you think?
- Pretty lights in The Corner Store in Fremantle
- Whiling away some time on the grass with my love
- Enjoying summer fruits for afternoon tea
- My Opa's clock
- Wearing what were meant to be my wedding earrings for the first time
- Yet another cafe date
- Planning a something big and secret requires a new notebook, right?
- Mexican fiesta at my aunt Trish's house

My week in pictures
This week has been packed full of breakfast, lunch and dinner dates as we wrap up our last month in Perth. We are really trying to make the most of our time with friends and family before we head off, which has been really nice but is also bitter sweet. Here's a bit of what's gone on in the past week and a bit:
- I was treated to a new hair do by the lovely folks at Element Aveda Concept, full review to come next week.
- Homemade summer fruit salad of nectarine, berries, mango, passionfruit and mint.
- Sold my Fuji x100 and went back to a new Canon camera, only this time a better model and fancier lens.
- Chloe on our upturned mattress as we moved out of our old home.
- New babushka keyring I picked up from Dotti for just $2.50. Love the post Christmas sales!
- Dinner and sangria at La Cholita, one of my favourite haunts in Perth.
- Apple and ginger juice to get over a nasty summer flu.
- Went with the girls to the Aquarium of WA and saw this cool dude.

My week (and a bit) in pictures
I know it’s been a while since I last did one of these, but it’s now going to become a weekly feature! Feel free to leave a link in the comments if you do a similar round up of your own. Here’s what I got up to over the last week (and a bit):
- Christmas shopping with my new husband (it feels so weird to say that, I still keep referring to him as ‘my partner’ in conversation).
- We went to an incredible party on a farm for our friend Alice’s birthday with her twin Lucy. The set up was beyond amazing!
- The pontoon over the dam at the twins’ farm.
- Marc bought me this Marc by Marc Jabobs bag for my 23rd birthday the other week and I have taken it out every day since.
- High tea at the revolving restaurant for said birthday.
- On the way back from the country we visited Gnomesville, a ‘town’ with thousands of gnomes everywhere. I only wish we had taken one of our own to leave there!
- I may have gone a little overboard with buying gifts this year. Wrapping them all up is just too fun.
- Regrettably selling my YSL arty ring to save for new endeavours. Email me if you want details.
- $10 bargain gold sparkly sandals from Rubi. Perfect for the festive season I think.
- We went to watch the Christmas pageant on the weekend but all I captured on camera was the waffles we devoured afterward - I got peanut butter and cookie. Yum.
